Steps
The same gentle, blade-free laser approach as modern LASIK, customised to your eyes’ optics to create the blended zone — a quick day procedure under anaesthetic drops.
Safety
Strong safety and satisfaction record; Dr. Sami Imam is recognised by ZEISS for PRESBYOND expertise. The brain takes a short time to adapt, during which mild glare or adjustment is normal and typically improves over weeks.
Recovery
Similar to LASIK — most see well within a day or two, driving usually possible the next day once confirmed; follow aftercare drops and the 7–10 day precautions.

Free consultation
A detailed eye assessment with a corneal scan. We test your dominant eye and how well you adapt to blended vision.

Your personal plan
Dr Sami designs a profile tailored to each eye and your daily life, whether that’s reading, screens, driving or sport.

Treatment day
About 20 minutes for both eyes, under numbing drops, with ZEISS VisuMax and MEL 90 lasers. You go home the same day.

Aftercare
Check-up the next day. Most people drive again once cleared. Follow-ups continue while your brain adapts.

Your Questions, Answered
PRESBYOND aims for clear vision at near, intermediate and far distances, and most patients no longer need reading glasses for everyday tasks. Very fine print in dim light may still be easier with a light reader. Dr Sami will set realistic expectations for your eyes at the consultation.
No. Traditional monovision leaves one eye clearly for distance and one for near, with a gap in between. PRESBYOND also changes the optical profile of each eye so the two ranges overlap in a "blend zone". This is why more people adapt to it comfortably.
Numbing eye drops are used, so most patients feel only light pressure for a few seconds. Afterwards, mild scratchiness or watering for a few hours is common.
Many people read without glasses from the first day or two. The brain takes a few weeks to fully combine the two eyes. Some glare or a sense of "adjusting" during that time is normal and improves steadily.
Usually the next day, once your check-up confirms your vision meets the driving standard. Most people return to office work within 1–2 days.
Yes. During your consultation we test how well you tolerate blended vision, so you can experience the effect before you commit.
PRESBYOND doesn't prevent future cataract surgery. If a cataract develops years later, it can be treated in the normal way.
Yes. You can split the cost with Tabby or Tamara, subject to their approval.
